4. more hood reflections

i added another reflection on top of that which blends nicely with an opacity mask. To create opacity masks you need two objects, one to be masked and the mask itself. The mask must be above, and its brightness values will be used to define the opacity of the underlying object. This is quite usefull sometimes. You can also use gradient meshes as masks to create really complex opacities. In my example i used a simple gradient from black to white. Black will be transparent, white will be opaque. Select both objects and in the transparency palette click on the little triangle on the right to access the flyout menu and choose "create opacity mask" (i use the german version, so i often have to guess what the english name would be). 5. Blending shapes for yet more reflections

i created the reflection above the tire with a good old blend (pic 7). I added some blue which blends into the other reflection with an opacity mask, same as before (pic 8).
